Nathan Boberg has 25 years of diverse management experience working for three Fortune 100 companies in a variety of industries to include Insurance, Telecommunications and Pharmaceutical. He is board certified in Security Management as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) with demonstrated competencies in Physical Security Principles and Systems, Asset Protection, Threat, Risk and Vulnerability Assessments, Workplace Violence Prevention and Response, Business Practices, Personnel Security, Emergency Response, and Investigations. Nathan is a Certified Threat Manager (CTM) through the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals. He has also earned the Certified Security Supervisor (CSS) and Certified Protection Officer (CPO) designations.

Nathan has served as a member of the Global Security and Intelligence Studies (GSIS) Professional Advisory Board at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where he provided academic and professional advice on the content, coverage and currency of the GSIS curriculum.

For his diligence, dedication and professional contributions to the membership and his employer, Nathan was recognized as the ASIS International Phoenix Chapter Security Professional of the Year. Nathan was also selected as one of the Security Director News’ 20 and under 40 award winners honoring up-and[1]coming security professionals and future leaders in the security industry.

While attending Western Illinois University, Nathan received academic excellence and leadership awards, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree including a double major in Criminal Justice and Sociology.

In his current role as the West Regional Security Manager at Progressive Insurance, Nathan manages the Physical Security Operations for 19 states, over 100 properties and 7,000 employees in the areas of Crisis Management, Threat Assessment Procedures, Risk Assessment and Analysis, Security Officer Program Management, Vendor Relations, Risk Mitigation Strategies and Standard Operating Procedure Development. During his 20 years at Progressive, Nathan has been identified as an “All Star” performer within Enterprise Security and selected as a top talent for the Corporate Mentorship Program based on current and future contributions potential.

As far as ASIS International involvement goes, Nathan has served on the Leadership and Management Practices Council (LMPC) and Young Professionals Task Force Committee. Since becoming a member of the Phoenix Chapter, he has served on and chaired multiple Committees to include Newsletter Editor, Membership, Photographer, Placement, IB Hale and Securing Houses of Worship, which he is most proud of. Nathan is also a former Chairman of the ASIS Phoenix Chapter and during his tenure the chapter was awarded the IB Hale Chapter of the Year.
