CHAIRMAN'S MESSAGE

GREETINGS FROM THE ASIS PHOENIX CHAPTER!

It is with a heartfelt gratitude that I have the pleasure of informing you that at the upcoming 2019 GXS Conference in Chicago our chapter will be the recipient of the Community Service Award for the fourth consecutive year! This award is undoubtably the most meaningful one a chapter can receive. As security professionals, we are dedicated to protect the safety of those we serve. As a chapter, we have dedicated ourselves to assisting those in the community whose sense of safety has been shattered by misfortune. By supporting the Sojourner Center, Homeward Bound and the 100 Club, we help to make some small measure of difference in the lives of those fleeing violent relationships, families climbing out of homelessness and the loved ones of fallen officers. Thank you to all the committee chairs, volunteers and participants in our fundraising efforts.

I would like to share several upcoming opportunities for those who would like to assist in contributing to these ongoing efforts. On Friday September 27th we will be hosting the 2019 ASIS Phoenix Golf Outing (followed by a barbeque dinner) from which all proceeds go to our charities. This is fun event open to golfers of all levels and this year we will be playing at the luxurious Arizona Biltmore. If you don’t have golfers in your organization or company, but still want to contribute, we can have the 100 Club treat some worthy participants to enjoy a day of golf. If you can’t put together a foursome then sign up as a single and we will place you in a group.  For details click here or contact Lisa Miller at [email protected]

On Friday, November 1st we will be hosting our annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Luncheon at the Falls Event Center in Gilbert where we will honor those officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and their surviving family members. This stirring event is attended by law enforcement executives and officers from throughout the state and also serves as a fundraiser for the 100 Club of Arizona. There are opportunities for several levels of sponsorship as well as individual tickets. Again, if you want to contribute, but can’t participate, you can still contribute and add to our support of this worthy cause. For details you can click here or contact Derek Oldham at [email protected]

Our hope is to cross the stage at GXS for a fifth consecutive year, but more importantly, to continue to assist those in the community whose sense of safety has been shattered by misfortune. Thank you in advance for continuing to support our efforts.

Stay safe everyone.
