The Sojourner Center is one of the largest domestic violence shelters in the United States. They provide
secure housing and shelter to the victims of domestic violence. As our partner they have reached out to
the Phoenix ASIS Chapter for assistance. The Chapter has offered to provide volunteers to assist the
center on Saturday, March 14 from 9 am to Noon.

Since spring is right around the corner the purpose of this day will be to help clean up and beautify the
grounds around the center. On this day we will be helping with the following duties:

  • Trimming of shrubs and ground cover
  • Raking
  • Pulling weeds
  • Improvement of planting beds

Afterwards volunteers will be treated to a BBQ lunch served at the Center.

If you can participate please contact Steve Norris at 602-501-1594 or at wnorris6(AT)cox(DOT)net. Family,
friends and co-workers of chapter members are welcome to participate.

Through the efforts of our Community Outreach Committee Chairman Steve Norris, and our volunteers, we
have won the ASIS International Community Service Award the last four consecutive years!
Help us do it again in 2020.
