ASIS Phoenix Chapter

The idea to create a Chapter webpage was conceived by Chapter Chair David Dix, CPP in 1996.  At the first chapter meeting in Jauary, 1997, he announced a radical goal to get the Chapter onto the Internet!  His goal was to create a historical document as well as document current events and chapter services.

After the January meeting 1997, Dave asked Wayne Church, CPP to take on the challenge of creating of the page.  Wayne agreed to give his best efforts and started developing the page into how it looks today.  Wayne understood it would take a lot of member's assistance to build the historical documentation and reached out to several chapter members.  Members such as Chuck Wollin, CPP who helped reconstruct our chairperson's history, and Dorothy Mullen-Priest with numerous other historical recollections detailed during the successful ASIS Phoenix Chapter's 35th anniversary celebration.

Our goal is :

    Give respect where respect is due;

    Give honor where honor is due;

    Give credit where credit is due.

Due to serious physical issues Wayne resigned as Webmaster in December 1999.

In January 2000 Kris Kubsch, took over as webmaster. During his tenure (2000 to August 2003) he made some very innovative changes.  He started a listing of the library artifacts in the Chapter's possession, automated the lunch reservation program, automated the Law Enforcement Appreciation Luncheon sign up process and completed work on the Southwest Security Conference.

In August, 2003, two great things occured which were good news for all.  Kris Kubsch was so successful in his business that maintaining the page was becoming exceedingly difficult, and Wayne Church regained his health and was available to return to the webpage.

In April, 2004 Dyrk Greenhalgh assumed responsibility for keeping the web material in order.  Wayne continued as a resource and made the webmaster transition much easier.

In January, 2006 Kenn Magnum took the reigns as webmaster with a dual focus. First and foremost he wanted to create a website that served as a timely and relevant resource the security professionals of the Phoenix Chapter and second he wanted to maintain the mission of historical documentation that his predecessors had put so much effort into.

On the recommendation of Meghan Uhl, Frank S. Corkum Jr. volunteered to update the Phoenix Website in April, 2007.  He gathered the material from the archives and gave the website a new platform for viewing.

Between 2009 & 2012 Keith Schenkel served as Webmaster until late 2012 when Jerry Higginson, PCI, CPP, (2008 Chapter Chairman) assumed the duties of Webmaster.  Jerry's first goal was to re-design the website to take us into 2013 and beyond!
