WIS Mentoring Program By Maria Dominguez, CPP Women in Security WIS Mission Statement To provide SUPPORT and assistance to women in the security industry as well as to INSPIRE those interested in entering the security industry through tailored programming and mentoring. WIS will support and PROMOTE its global members by utilizing collaborated skills and talents to strengthen leadership abilities.

WIS Council has a mentoring program, based on the ASI program, for women who are new to the security field who are interested in a mentor or someone who can help them navigate the security industry, or even strengthen their knowledge of a security program or process.  The Women in Security Council has an active mentoring program based on the ASIS Mentoring guidelines. The protégé would be partnered with a mentor who has a common background or a common security discipline, but could be in a different state.  The program is structured so it is the protégé who drives the program.  Enrollment in required a commitment of at least six months to the program.

If you are interested or know someone who might benefit or want additional information, please contact me at: Maria.g.dominguez@bankofamerica.com

The Mentoring program is free; however active membership in ASIS International is required.
