"Technology; a Newly Emerging Threat in Physical Security

How advancing technology and the Internet of Things (IOT) is quickly enhancing how people ensure safety for others, and at the same time how assailants are using such technology to create more threats.

Whatever your role is in physical security, by the end of the 2018 Southwest Security Conference our goal is that all participants visualize more ways that the technology one currently uses, and implementing new technology, can create efficient people and stronger processes within one’s safety and security program. Participants will also recognize and see ways technology is being used against one’s safety and security program as well so they’re well-prepared for these new threats.

“The Southwest Security Conference’s mission is to bring together regional ASIS Chapter members, local law enforcement, and other affiliated physical and cyber security associations for a day of industry education and collaboration in efforts ultimately keeping people and places safer from threats we face on a day to day basis.”
