Chairman, Jordan Cote, CPP
With more than 25 years of experience in security management, corporate investigations and law enforcement, Jordan has dedicated his career to the protection of others in both the public and private sectors. As the Public Trust Officer and Corporate Investigator for Express Scripts, Inc., Jordan manages the Department of Defense Personnel Security Program, as well as conducting investigations as varied as pharmaceutical drug diversion, financial fraud, and background investigations. Previously Jordan held senior leadership positions in the contract security industry in both California and Arizona, in which he led company change-management initiatives and project teams to achieve record growth and client retention and satisfaction ratings.
Jordan’s early career began in law enforcement, serving with both the Beverly Hills (CA) Police Department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. While with the BHPD, he served two terms as President of the Beverly Hills Safety Support Personnel Association.
Jordan earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from American Military University. He also holds an ADP Level 2 Public Trust Determination, a Federal security clearance issued by the Department of Defense.
Jordan is an active member of the National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators (NADDI), the National Society of Industrial Security Professionals (NISP), and the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP).
Jordan has been an active member of ASIS International for more than 17 years and is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP). He has been a member of the Phoenix Chapter since 2001 and has served as the Chapter Private Security Liaison, Chairman of the Membership Committee, and Chapter Treasurer. Jordan is honored to serve as the Vice Chairman and hopes that his service will benefit not only the Chapter but the outstanding and professional members it serves.
Vice Chairman, Rich Wilson MPA, CPP
Rich Wilson is a Senior Consultant with SIGMA Threat Management Associates working as part of a team comprised of leading experts in behavioral threat assessment and threat management to provide threat assessment and violence prevention services to businesses, educational institutions, government agencies, military units, law enforcement and security professionals, and prominent individuals and family offices.
Formerly Mr. Wilson was an Assistant Chief of Police with the Arizona State University Police Department serving a community of over 72,000 students across four campuses. During his campus law enforcement career he was recognized as one of the earliest practitioners of behavioral threat assessment in higher education and has over twenty years experience in case management and team training. He was also a crisis negotiation team leader and served on the East Valley Domestic Violence Fatality Review Team
Mr. Wilson is a long-time member of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP), and was one of the founding members and past President of the Arizona ATAP Chapter. He was the recipient of the Association’s Presidential Recognition Award in 2009 for his work on the National Board of Directors where he served for four years. Mr. Wilson is a member of the Arizona Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
He holds a B.A. in Political Science from American University and a Masters in Public Administration from Arizona State University.
Secretary, Derek Oldham
Mr. Oldham is the President/COO of IPSA Security Services and directs all IPSA company operations, utilizing his more than 16 years of management experience within the security industry. Derek works closely with his team to develop and execute officer development, client relations, security operations and business development throughout the valley.
Derek has been a member of the Phoenix chapter since 2003 holding most recently the membership chair position. He looks forward to the continued growth and success of the best ASIS chapter in the nation.
Derek is originally from Detroit Michigan and after graduating from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, he found a home here in the land of the sun.
When Derek is not working, you can find him on the golf course or following his son around the hockey rink playing with the Junior Coyotes or his daughter at the soccer field with San Tan Legacy.
Treasurer, David Mitchell, SET
Dave served in the US Navy until 1976 then managed the Collins Karcher Hotel in Waukegan, Illinois for six years. He represented the institutional division of Dubois Chemicals for three years.
Alarm Detection Systems in Aurora, Illinois employed Dave for field service of physical security systems where he received training and certifications from NBFAA, NFPA and manufacturers.
Dave owned Mitchell Electronics Engineering & Contracting and managed for Tyco SimplexGrinnell, Roadrunner Fire & Safety, Safeguard Security, Fire Security Electronics & Communications, Johnson Controls, UTC Climate Controls & Security, and Kratos Public Safety & Security.
Dave’s association activity included: D.A.R.E., Boy Scouts of America, Rotary, Lions Club, AZ Apprenticeship Advisory - NBFAA, AZAFAA and the American Society of Certified Engineering Technicians.
His lifelong passion for learning includes studies at Western Governors University, NICET certification, physical security systems technology and ASIS certification preparation.
Dave joined ASIS International in 1998, volunteered as the Phoenix Chapter Database & Distribution Chairman in 2014 and was elected Treasurer for 2016.
